Update on the Windows 7 RTM

After almost 3 days downloading from MSDN and TechNet, I have all the versions I need of Windows 7; Home Premium, Home Basic, Professional, andwindows-7-logo Ultimate. Later, I’ll get the Enterprise version but may not install it unless I find a good reason. Just good to have I guess.

Over the next few weeks, I plan on installing at least 3 Ultimate and Home Premium.  Now I just have to decide what machines to put it on.

See my previous post about Windows 7 RTM.

Update on Family Pack

Looks like Microsoft will come thru finally with a Windows 7 Family Pack.  Starting on October 22nd the price for the Windows 7 Family Pack will be $149.99 for 3 Windows 7 Home Premium licenses. That’s huge for those of us who have more than one machine and a great value.

As of this post, I haven’t found it offered on any online store for purchase yet including the Microsoft Store.  As soon as I find a retailer, I will post some links to it.
