OpenDNS goes Deluxe!

Early last year I wrote about one of the easiest ways to provide internet filtering for your home network. Read: http://cibertek.net/blog/2009/02/22/keep-your-family-safe-with-opendns/. At the time, OpenDNS had only one mode and only one set of options. Recently, they’ve expanded their features list under a “Deluxe Plan” and are now charging a small fee to use it.

Changing your default router password is one of the easiest things to do to secure your network. The problem is most people don’t know how, don’t care to, or forget the password they set. But if you don’t know how, all you have to do is reference the router’s manual for instructions.
